Brittany Stanley LMBT 7133

My journey as a massage therapist began in 2006.  I attended the Center for Massage and Natural Health in the mountains of my home state of North Carolina. I discovered Thai Massage in 2009 and am certified as a Master Thai therapist with Living Sabai.

After massage school I returned to Brunswick County where I met my husband and stepson. We added two more boys to the bunch in 2014 and 2018. Our favorite activities together are adventuring outdoors especially in the water and volunteering at our local church.

Bringing my work back home was very important to me. I love being close to family and the beach.  I am very grateful to have the opportunity to share my work with the people of Brunswick County.

Thai Massage

Nuad Bo Rarn, literally translated as “ancient massage”, is a unique and comprehensive style of bodywork. Unlike Therapeutic Table Massage, Nuad Bo Rarn, or Thai massage is performed on a mat on the floor and the client remains fully clothed. Thai massage combines acupressure, yoga and massage to create a truly holistic massage experience.

Therapeutic Massage

The goal of Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Therapeutic Massage is extremely healing as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body.  The client stays comfortably draped on the massage table. Hot stones and aromatherapy may be added at no extra charge.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.  (myofascialrelease.com)
